Ghana Science Project

The Directors of The Ghana Science Project, Jacob and Jane Ashong, wish to record their deep gratitude and appreciation to the following:-

• SCISS for the donation of the Uniview Software, with continuing support from Jan Warnstam, Marketing Relations Manager of SCISS AB.

• Jon Elvert, Director of the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium at the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a former president of the International Planetarium Society, and Chair of the International Planetarium Society Outreach Committee, who inspired the Louisiana Art and Science Museum to donate their used MediaGlobe.

• Carol Gikas, President and Executive Director of the Louisiana Art and Science Museum and the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, who donated the MediaGlobe to the Ghana Science Project.

• Dave Weinrich, Director of Minnesota State University Planetarium, for making this project possible. Dave initiated, coordinated, organised, trained, and donated his expertise and training for the realisation of this project.

• We are grateful to Minnesota State University Moorhead for releasing Dave for his trips to Ghana.

• And for the continuing input and support of Joel Halvorson, Program Director of Minnesota Planetarium Society.

• Joanne Young of Audiovisual Imagineering. Audiovisual Imagineering donated refurbishing costs and labour for getting the MediaGlobe in shape, provided training for Dave Weinrich, and will provide customer support in the future.

• Carter Emmet for his expert guidance on our trip through the universe at our inaugural planetarium show.

• Dave Burgess, Planetarium Director, for coordinating an Astronomy Club donation of $100
